Ersland's Purdue squad falls to ISU in Humboldt, 23-13

Former Humboldt High athlete Tony Ersland brought his Purdue University wrestling team to the Humboldt gym on Sunday (Dec. 19). Ersland's Wildcats fell to the Iowa State Cyclones, 23-13 in dual action before a packed gym.

The contest was a homecoming for Ersland and Iowa State head coach Kevin Dresser. Ersland was a two-time state high school champion at Humboldt in 1991-92 while Dresser was a two-time state champion for Humboldt in 1980-81.
