HHS girls crown 3 champs at Osage

Maria Elizondo, Brooklyn Robinson and Rylee Coyle won individual titles to lead the Humboldt girls’ wrestling team in the Osage tournament Monday night, Jan. 3.
Elizondo, in the G11 bracket, won all three of her bouts by fall. Coyle won one match by fall in the G14 division. Robinson was 3-0 in the G13 division, winning with a pair of pins and a 7-2 decision.
Securing a runner-up finish for Humboldt was Adalynn Lawman in the G6 division. Placing third was Ava McIntire in the G4 class, Baylie Beers in the G5 class, Makenzie McMahon in the G7 class and Ashlyn Sutterfield in the G9 class.
Fourth-place went to Claire Weydert in the G8 class, Lexi Roberts in the G6 division and Sophia Harris in the G2 division.
Lawman was 2-for-3 on the night with both of her wins coming by pin. Beers, McIntire, Harris, Suttefield, Weydert, McMahon and Roberts all recorded pins.
Humboldt returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 8, in the Ogden tournament.
