Sexe files civil suit against county, sheriff


Humboldt County E911 Database Manager Cherese Sexe (left) has filed a civil suit in Humboldt County District Court against the Humboldt County 911 Service Board, Humboldt County LEC Board, Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Sheriff Dean Kruger (right) individually, along with Taylor Kunert, Cory Lampe, Joel Sanders, Dan Scholl and Erik Underberg. She alleges sexual harassment by Kruger and makes claims of slander and libel.

Humboldt County’s longtime E911 Database Manager Cherese Sexe has filed a civil lawsuit against the entity she works for, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger, among others.
In the suit, Sexe claims sex discrimination, sexual harassment on the part of the sheriff and violation of her rights under the Iowa Civil Rights Act, Iowa Code Chapter 216.
Named as defendants in the suit, which was filed on Dec. 29, 2021, in Humboldt County District Court are: The Humboldt County 911 Service Board, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and the Humboldt County Public Safety Commission.
