Humboldt girls upend Lynx, fall at Clear Lake

The Humboldt girls basketball team battled hard in the second half but fell 47-34 at Clear Lake Friday night (Jan. 21) at Clear Lake. Alexis Hansen scored 14 points and Morgan Mann had 13 for the Wildcats, 9-7 overall, 6-3 in the NCC.

Humboldt solidified their position in the North Central Conference standings Tuesday night (Jan.18) by beating the Webster City Lynx, 47-26 in the Wildcat gym.

Joie Smith scored 13 points, Alexis Hansen 10 and Morgan Mann 9 to lead Humboldt. Kelly Stoakes made 9 to lead Webster City (3-11, 1-7).

Webster City is 3-10 overall, 1-6 in league play.

Humboldt plays at Algona on Jan. 25.
