Wildcat boys top Cadets by 3 strokes

Humboldt's varsity boys' golf team picked up another North Central Conference victory at Iowa Falls on Friday, April 29, by topping the Cadets, 165-168.

Jayden Gargano shot a 40 and Carson Sleiter a 41 to lead Humboldt. Carter Arends and Colton England each had a 39 for the Cadets.

In the boys' meet at Pocahontas, Humboldt shot a 166 total. Pocahontas Area was second at 172 and Southeast Valley third with 186. Carson Arndt and Corey Dettmann each shot a 40 to pace Humboldt. The Wildcats got a trio of 43 scores from Carson Sleiter, Jayden Gargano and Parker Sleiter. Hayden Holm shot 47.

The Wildcat boys host Fort Dodge St. Edmond and Webster City on May 3. The Wildcats golf at Carroll Kuemper on Saturday, May 7. The North Central Conference meet is May 9 at Fort Dodge Country Club.
