Humboldt boys top Lions, 6-1

Josh Thurm had two hits and three RBI at the plate and Caden Matson pitched seven strong innings with 13 strikeouts and just one walk to lead the Humboldt baseball team past the Clear Lake Lions, 6-1 in Humboldt on June 3 in a North Central Conference game. The victory improved Humboldt to 4-2 overall on the season, 2-1 in conference play.

Humboldt in 14-3 victory at Southeast Valley
Humboldt scored nine runs in the fifth inning and went on to blast Southeast Valley, 14-3 in Dayton Thursday night (June 2) in non-conference baseball. Ty Gargano earned the win on the mound for Humboldt.

Wildcats rip Cowboys, 15-1
The Humboldt baseball team improved their record to 2-2 overall, 1-1 in league play by drubbing Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, 15-1 in Humboldt on June 1 in conference play. Josh Thurm made three hits to lead the Wildcats. Hayden Holm homered while Thurm and Levi Newton each hit a double for Humboldt. Holm earned the win pitching by tossing a two-hitter.

Humboldt went 1-1 in the Remsen St. Mary's tournament on Saturday, May 28. Humboldt lost 9-3 to Kingsley-Pierson and won 7-1 over West Lyon.

Lynx top HHS boys in NCC opener, 6-0
Webster City scored four runs in the first inning and went on to shutout Humboldt, 6-0 in a North Central Conference baseball opener for the Wildcats on May 27 in Humboldt.

Humboldt collected just three hits off of Lynx starting pitcher Zach Dyvig, who walked one and struck out 10. Hayden Holm, Trevor Jacobson and Jacob Heier each had a hit for the Wildcats, who fell to 0-1-2 on the season. Webster City
improved to 4-3 overall.

Humboldt pitcher Caden Matson took the loss on the mound as he worked five innings allowing six runs, nine hits and walked none. He struck out three and hit one batter.

The Wildcats travel to Hampton on Monday, June 6. Humboldt hosts Forest City on June 7. The Wildcats visit Iowa Falls on June 8. Humboldt hosts Central Springs on June 9. Algona visits Humboldt on June 10 in NCC action.
