Humboldt in 11-3 victory at Nevada

Humboldt capped its week on Thursday (June 30) in an 11-3 victory at Nevada in non-conference baseball.

The Wildcats, 15-8 overall, totaled 13 hits at the plate to back the five-hit pitching of Isaiah Busick and Hayden Holm. Holm earned the win as he struck out five. Humboldt had five players with two hits apiece.

Wildcats blank Cadets, 11-0
The Humboldt baseball team clubbed 11 hits en route to an 11-0 victory over the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets on Wednesday night, June 29, in Humboldt in North Central Conference action.

The Wildcats, 14-8 overall, 10-4 in the NCC, were led at the plate by Caden Matson and Hayden Holm, who each had three hits, including a triple by Matson. Levi Newton had two hits. Jayden Gargano earned the win on the mound for Humboldt. He worked all five innings striking out nine and walking three.

Boone tops Humboldt, 15-9
Boone jumped out to a 13-1 lead and then held off a late rally by the Humboldt baseball team for a 15-9 victory over the Wildcats in a non-conference game in Humboldt Tuesday night, June 28. Josh Thurm homered twice, Christian Lee and Levi Newton also homered for Humboldt.

Lions blank Humboldt boys, 4-0
The Clear Lake Lions avenged an earlier loss to Humboldt by shutting out the Wildcats, 4-0 Monday night, June 27, in a North Central Conference game at Clear Lake.

Bulldogs edge Humboldt in 10 innings, 6-5
A 4-run second inning carried Hampton Dumont CAL past the Humboldt baseball team, 6-5 Friday night, June 24, in North Central Conference baseball.

Humboldt plays at Storm Lake on July 5 and host Spencer on July 6. The Wildcats begin post-season tournament play at Gilbert on Friday, July 8, against Gilbert in a first round 3A substate tournament game at 7 p.m.
