Corteva meets demand of feeding the world

In 2019, the Renwick Seed Production Facility changed names from Pioneer to Corteva. Pictured from left by the sign are Jayme Dreessen, Brian Woeste and Kent Berte. The process, goals and work ethic are still the same. Humboldt Independent photo by Kent Thompson.

Renwick’s seed production facility for Corteva Agriscience is all about beans and only beans.
In 2019, Pioneer, Dow Inc. and Dupont spun off Corteva as the agricultural part of the business that focuses on seed and crop protection.
Renwick Location Manager Brian Woeste said Corteva does more than just one brand, however the Pioneer brand is still exclusively sold by local Pioneer seed dealers.
“Through mergers and acquisitions we did pick up a few additional seed brands,” Woeste said. Brevant is a new Corteva retail to market brand.
