Humboldt School Superintendent Jim Murray provided several updates during Monday’s regular monthly meeting of the Humboldt Board of Education.
Murray said a Dec. 8 timeline is in place to publish seeking bids for the building projects at Taft Elementary and the middle school.
“We’re hoping the publish date for the bids for Taft and the middle school will be on Dec. 8. I want to do a pre-bid meeting on Dec. 13 at the Taft cafeteria at 4 p.m. That meeting will be for both buildings,” Murray said.
“It’s a good opportunity for you to come in and ask the architect questions, look at the designs,” Murray said.
“We want to receive the middle school bids on Jan. 10 and the Taft bids on Jan. 12. We will have a Jan. 16 board meeting where we hope to do some approving of bids. At that time, we’ll have more answers in terms of what the budget looks like and what the timeframe will be,” Murray said.
