Hearing the phrase “Mission Accomplished” gives the people doing the work a warm feeling. And while the mission of feeding hungry people down the street, across the state and around the world is not yet finished, it soon will be.
The mission in this case is the Meals from the Heartland’s annual Humboldt County meal-packaging event that occurred Friday and Saturday, March 17-18.
“This is the 11th year and the Humboldt community year after year is one of the best partners we have for event packaging.
“The months of organization on the behalf of your Team 4 Hungry Committee and the buy in they have from the community really shows,” said Joel O’Dell, Hunger Fight Supervisor for Meals from the Heartland.
