Five Trumpeter Swans were relocated from the Humboldt swan pond along Highway 169 last Tuesday, April 8.

The swans were born last May and are being relocated as part of the Iowa DNR’s program to bring back the Trumpeter Swan. A total of six swans were born last year with five surviving. In 2012, three swans were born and just one survived to be relocated in the spring of 2013....
