Cadet girls upend Humboldt, 48-34
HUMBOLDT – Humboldt's girls resumed their basketball season here Friday night (Jan. 4) and suffered a 48-34 setback to the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets. Maddie Thomas scored 13 points, Erica Lane added nine and Kessa Kuyper made four to pace the Wildcat girls, who saw their record slip to 4-6 overall, 3-5 in the North Central Conference. Humboldt also got three points apiece from Lauren Friesth and Kinzie Wright while April Jones added two.
Saje Ites paced IFA with 16 points while Jamie Peterson supplied 12. Lindsay Barnhard added nine for the Cadets, who improved to 6-3 overall, 5-3 in the NCC.
