Humboldt girls hold off Lynx, 49-43

HUMBOLDT – Humboldt's varsity girls' basketball team got back on track entering the holiday break by holding off Webster City, 49-43 Friday night (Dec. 21) in a North Central Conference game in the Wildcat gym. Lauren Friesth scored 16 points and Maddie Thomas added 12 to pace the Wildcats, who improved to 4-5 overall, 3-4 in the NCC. Erica Lane added 8 points, followed by April Jones with 6 and Kinzie Wright with 4.

Webster City was led by Cambria Hoffmann with 12 points and Kelsey Lindmark with 6.

The Wildcats will return to action at home on Friday, Jan. 4, when Iowa Falls-Alden visits the Humboldt gym. See complete story and photos in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
