County drainage, secondary road matters and social services were the main topics of discussion during a morning-long session of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Monday in Dakota City.
The board approved the secondary road budget for fiscal 2014, the year beginning July 1, this year, and ending June 30, 2014.
The budget is $3,496,449, with $4,947,527 in expected receipts. Road maintenance expenses are projected to total $1,691,836, while new equipment, equipment operations, tools, materials and supplies, and real estate and building expenses are projected to be $1,135,825.
“The spending is just under the income expected for the year,” County Engineer Paul Jacobson told the board.
The board also approved the five-year secondary road construction program, which will include a number of carryover as well as new projects next year.
