Thomas to speak at Library Foundation event

The Cat in the Hat and several other Dr. Seuss characters were in plentiful supply Saturday in honor of the doctor’s birthday. Fun events were held at the Humboldt Hy-Vee and the Humboldt Public Library. Pictured from left: Morgan Mayall, the Cat in the Hat, Kylee Rees, Chloe Mayall and Lydia Witzke. The Humboldt Public Library Foundation is inviting the public to a special event this Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m., at the Faith United Methodist Church.
Citizens are invited to hear Humboldt High School Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Greg Thomas talk. The title of his talk is “Forgiveness.”
The book “The Sacred Acre,” a story about Ed Thomas, his family and the community of Aplington-Parkersburg, will be available for sale after the talk.
There will be pie and coffee available in Morehouse Hall after the talk, for a free will offering.
The community is invited to hear Coach Thomas’s inspiring talk and support future projects at the public library.
