Wildcat girls 2nd in Fort Dodge Relays
Humboldt's varsity girls' track team turned in another strong performance by placing second in the Fort Dodge Dodger Relays on Thursday, April 17. The Wildcats won three events and placed second in five others as they scored 103.5 points to finish behind first-place Waukee (112). Dallas Center-Grimes (97) was third, followed by Fort Dodge (87), Ankeny Centennial (62), Mason City (51), Des Moines Hoover (37) and Fort Dodge St. Edmond (28.5).
Humboldt won the 4x800 meter relay, the distance medley relay and Sam Larson won the 1,500-meters in 5:10.64. The 4x800 of Brittney Nilles, April Jones, Beth Duffield and Maddie Kampen ran 10:07.19 while the distance medley of Caitlyn Wadsley, Maggy Duffield,Maddie Kampen and Larson finished in 4:36.72.
Humboldt runs at Pocahontas on April 22. The Humboldt Invitational is April 28.
