Wildcat girls, boys fall at Algona Bishop Garrigan
Bishop Garrigan of Algona took a pair of North Central Conference games with visiting Humboldt Tuesday night (Dec. 4). The host Bears defeated the Wildcat girls by a 33-27 final score and the boys' contest also went to the Bears by a 52-47 final.
Erica Lane scored 10 points, Lauren Friesth nine and April Jones six for the Humboldt girls. Jaxon Heinz made 18, including 11 in the final two minutes of the game, to pace the HHS boys. Brady Ross was next with eight and Michael Orness had six.
The Wildcat girls are now 1-3 overall on the season, 0-3 in NCC play. The Wildcat boys slipped to 1-2 overall, 0-2 in the NCC. Humboldt will now return home to host Eagle Grove (Dec. 7), Fort Dodge St. Edmond (Dec. 11) and Clarion-Goldfield (Dec. 14).
