Wildcat girls top Clarion-Goldfield
Humboldt's varsity girls' golf team opened conference play with a 12-shot victory over Clarion-Goldfield on April 15 at Oakridge Golf Course. Humboldt posted a 202-214 victory. Savannah Schnetzer led the Wildcats with a 39 on the par-35 course to earn medalist honors. Megan Kramer and Halie George each had 53 for Humboldt.
Savannah Schnetzer was meet medalist with an 82 to lead the Humboldt High girls' golf team to a second-place finish in the four-team Perry Invitational held Saturday, April 12 at Perry Country Club. Humboldt finished with 410 strokes. Dowling Catholic won with 349. North Polk was third at 447 and Perry fourth with 685. Allison Olberding of Downing was behind Schnetzer individually with an 85.
Olivia Birdsell (101), Brooke Anderson (112) and Halie George (115) had Humboldt's counting scores. The Wildcats will play at Clarion-Goldfield on Tuesday, April 15.
