The Humboldt High boys' basketball team got back on the winning track by running away to a 76-49 victory over Clarion-Goldfield on Jan. 10 in the Humboldt gym. Jack Curran scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Brady Ross added 17 points and Jaxon Heinz 12 as Humboldt, which led by just six after the first quarter (17-11), broke the pulled away to a 12-point lead at halftime and never looked back.
Humboldt improved to 8-2 overall, 7-2 in the North Central Conference. The Wildcats resume play at home on Friday, Jan. 17, when they host Hampton-Dumont.
