Trooper Pam Brockman issued a stern warning for Humboldt Middle School students last Friday.
“Anything you text or post on the Internet is out there for the whole world to see. Once you hit send, you no longer control it,” Brockman said. “The Internet is like being in a big room with a lot of people that you don’t know.”
Brockman was invited to speak to students as part of the school district’s policy of helping develop good digital citizens, according to Middle School Principal Brenda Geitzenauer.
“We’ve heard among the kids a lot of things that have been going on. We knew this was an opportunity to have Trooper Pam come in and increase their knowledge,” Geitzenauer said.
