No. 4 ranked Harris-Lake Park opened the game with a 16-5 run and never looked back in stopping the Wolverines, 57-38 on Jan. 15 in West Bend.
H-LP improved to 12-1 on the season with the triumph. Jordan Buhs scored 14 to pace WBM/GCB. He was 4-of-10 from 3-point range. H-LP led 30-13 at halftime.
Wolverine coach Paul Peppmeier says the 18-point loss was an improvement from their 76-40 loss to H-LP back on Dec. 4.
“We challenged ourselves to get better and we have the last few weeks,” Peppmeier said.
“We weren’t very happy when we came back from Christmas break and lost to Manson by 30. We felt our defense needed to step up. After that game we came together and played better. Our offense and defense have come together,” CWL coach Paul Peppmeier said.
