The Humboldt High baseball team ended a two-game losing streak by holding off Webster City Wednesday night (June 19), 10-8. The triumph moved the Wildcats' season record to 11-4 overall, 6-4 in the North Central Conference. After scoring two runs in the third inning, the Wildcats added two in the fifth, three in the sixth and three in the seventh for their second win of the season over WC in the past nine days. Humboldt visits Algona on Friday, June 21.
No. 1 (Class 3A) ranked Clear Lake clipped the Humboldt baseball team, 5-2 Monday night (June 17) in high school action in Humboldt.
