The 2013 Humboldt Arts Festival will be this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at John Brown Park in Humboldt. The rain location will be the new Humboldt Middle School. The Humboldt Area Arts Community Board has planned a fun art-filled day under the guidance of co-chairs Marta Olson and Stacy Wempen, assisted by Shelby Beilke, 2012 HHS graduate, attending ISU. The event includes artisan displays, a variety of free children’s art activities under the big tent, food, dance routines, magic, a theatre production, and a live broadcast. Local and regional artists will display and sell their works, which include pottery, hot glasswork, silks, woodcarving, metal work, jewelry and more.
