Art with a local connection wanted

The Humboldt Area Arts Community (HAAC) invites people to come “Home For The Holidays,” for a viewing of collected art from the area during the past 150 years. As a final event honoring the city’s sesquicentennial in 2013, the Arts Community will be having the special art show on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 2-5 p.m., at the Humboldt Arts Center, 906 Sumner Ave. “This special showing coincides with the 150th anniversary or sesquicentennial of the city and is a fine tribute to all of the great artisans who have been a part of our wonderful community over the years,” HAAC Board member and organizer Jana Terwilliger said. “Please join us in seeing these paintings, may of which are on loan to us from private collections. They are all assured to take your memories a step back in time and your hearts Home for the Holidays,” Terwilliger said.
