Jaxon Heinz shot a 75 to earn medalist honors in leading the Humboldt High boys' golf team to the team title in the Storm Lake Invitational Tournament held last Saturday, May 3. Humboldt finished with 334 strokes to top runner-up Spencer which had 340. Spirit Lake was third at 343 in the 12-team field of schools.The Wildcats also got an 81 from Christian Birdsell, an 86 from Casey Kayser and a 92 from Kelly Kayser.Humboldt hosts Eagle Grove on May 6 and will compete in the Gilbert tournament on Saturday, May 10 in Ames.See complete story in the Humboldt Independent.
