For years, really since the Humboldt Post Office moved to its present location at 601 Sumner Ave. nearly eight years ago, Postmaster Daryle Zwiefel has been hounding his superiors for necessary improvements. Zwiefel has announced that the post office will be undergoing a major interior remodeling beginning either late this week or early next week. The work will be conducted while daily post office operations continue, with all the work expected to be concluded by Thanksgiving, Zwiefel said. “There will be some minor inconveniences for the customers while the remodel is going on, but the hours of operation and services will not change. We hope to have as much work as possible done on the weekends, to lessen the impact on the public.
