20 Humboldt speech students advance to state

The Humboldt Speech team participated in the District Individual Contest at Bishop Garrigan in Algona last weekend. The Humboldt Speech team enjoyed a monumental day at District Individual Contest at Bishop Garrigan High in Algona on Saturday, Feb. 25. The contest started three hours late due to weather, but this did not hinder the speakers, according to coach Mike Terwilliger.
A total of 20 performers earned Division One ratings in 27 events and qualified for State Contest on March 11 at Sioux City East.
