Republican Sandy Loney of Humboldt was elected to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
Loney defeated Todd George, 686 to 278 to win the District 2 seat currently held by Carl Mattes, who chose not to run again after 12 years of service.
Incumbent Republican Supervisor Bruce Reimers ran unopposed and received 673 votes to retain the District 1 seat.
Incumbent Republican Supervisor Rick Pedersen received 619 votes to retain the District 3 seat.
County Treasurer Jana Bratland (3,644 votes), County Recorder Diane Amundson (3,539 votes), and County Attorney Jon Beaty (3,392 votes) were all re-elected. All three ran unopposed.
Tim McCartan (2,757 votes) and Molly Varangkounh (2,500 votes) were both elected to the Board of Trustees of Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
Elected to the Soil and Water Conservation District Commission were Jeff Helvick (2,817 votes) and James Sayers (2,489 votes).
