Terwilliger joins ISU fall camp

Owen Terwilliger

2019 HHS graduate took part in summer workouts in Ames

Owen Terwilliger is making the most of his opportunity to become an Iowa State football player.
The 2019 Humboldt High School graduate, who spent most of June and July in Ames working out with the team as a preferred walk-on, got the call he was waiting for the last week of July when he was invited to join the team for fall camp, which began on Aug. 1.
“All summer I was focused on working hard in camp so that my number would get called when it was time for the coaches to decide on their final 110-man roster going into fall camp,” Terwilliger said.

Wickett bounces back from injury at Buena Vista

Mason Wickett

Wickett, who played in all 10 games for the Beavers back in 2017 as a freshman, appeared in eight games last year in the defensive line and is looking to play a key role in 2019.
“Last year, individually, I felt pretty successful. I felt like I was making good contributions to the team up until I got hurt in the middle of the season, so I had to sit out a few games,” Wickett said. “That was the first time I had ever had to sit out for being hurt.”
