The Humboldt County Conservation Board met on Tuesday, June 16, with Board members Bob Rasmussen, Tate Satern, TC Loving and Bob Moser in attendance. Board member Mary Miner was absent.
An update on the Reasoner Dam was given. After discussions with Nate Hoogeveen, of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and Mimi Wagner, the project facilitator, it was decided to continue moving forward with the project, but to proceed at a slower pace due to the CO-VID pandemic.
The Board discussed a hydrological study, an informational blog and three different conceptual designs for the dam area at an approximate cost of $30,000. The conceptual designs would be based on feedback Wagner received during in-person surveys she did while visiting Humboldt this past fall and winter.
