Kent A. “Tank” Tokheim, 69, of Thor, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
Tank was born Aug. 17, 1955 in Fort Dodge, the son of Charles Franklin and June (Dorn) Tokheim. He grew up outside of Thor and started farming at an early age. He was educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1973. He went on to attend the Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis and later Buena Vista College. Tank worked for Chantland’s south plant for thirty-nine years all while continuing with the family farming operation. His faithful companion was his dog DJ, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, 3D puzzles and his twice daily drive through Thor.
