Dennis Thompson was sworn in on Monday, Nov. 24 during the regular Humboldt County Board of Supervisors meeting. Thompson replaces departing Supervisor Sandy Loney in District 2.
Thompson, who had spent the last five decades or so farming and growing his grain vac business, recently moved on to Willow Ridge Drive. (Thompson Grain Service) felt that he has a lot to offer this important position.
“I feel there’s some input that I could put in the county from my experience of farming and drainage. That I could do some good,” Thompson said.
Thompson had previously served on the Humbolt County Conservation Board and School Boards.
He admits that while he has a strong base of knowledge regarding drainage issues and land matters, there is still so much he has to learn.
