Humboldt's state tournament bid falls short, 11-10 in regional final

FORT DODGE - Humboldt's state tournament bid came up short Tuesday night in a Class 4A regional softball championship game as Denison-Schleswig denied the Wildcats, 11-10. The loss ends Humboldt's season at 22-10.Lauren Friesth led Humboldt's 10-hit attack by going 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Sarah Peters had two hits and three RBI.
