Bulldogs top Wildcat boys in 2 OT, 71-67
Humboldt's boys suffered only their third loss of the season Friday night (Jan. 17) in falling to Hampton-Dumont, 71-67 in double overtime in the Humboldt gym.The Wildcats, 8-3 overall, 7-3 in the NCC, were led in scoring by Jaxon Heinz with 20 points and Nick Heider with 16. Jack Curran followed with 15 with Brady Ross and Austin Zylstra each with eight. Charlie Flickinger scored 26 points and Parker Claypool had 18 to lead the Bulldogs, who avenged a Dec. 3 loss to Humboldt in Hampton.Humboldt returns to action on Jan. 21 at Algona Bishop Garrigan.
