Humboldt boys nip St. Edmond in double overtime, 76-70
Jaxon Heinz scored 34 points to lead the Humboldt High boys' basketball team past Fort Dodge St. Edmond, 76-70 in double overtime Tuesday night (Jan. 28) in the Humboldt gym. The Wildcats also got eight points each from Jack Curran and Austin Zylstra while Nick Heider and Kenny Kuyper each had six. Thomas Orness added three. Robbie Burke scored 27 to lead St. Edmond. Conrad Laufersweiler added 17.Humboldt, now 11-3 overall, 10-3 in the North Central Conference, will play at Clarion-Goldfield on Friday, Jan. 31. Humboldt hosts Algona on Feb. 4.
