Dresser's Hokies have 4 automatic NCAA qualifiers

The Virginia Tech University wrestling team coached by Humboldt native Kevin Dresser placed third in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament last Sunday (Mar. 8) in Pittsburgh and had four individuals receive four automatic NCAA tournament berths. The nationals will be held Mar. 19-21 in St. Louis. The Hokies will find out later today (Mar. 11) if they'll have any additional wrestlers earn at-large tournament berths. Virginia Tech is currently ranked No. 10 in the nation. They won the ACC dual team title with a 5-0 record and were 21-2 overall.See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
