Wildcats place 7 on North Central All-Conference

North Central Conference champion Humboldt placed seven players on the coaches’ post-season all-conference baseball team. The Wildcats’ first-team picks include senior pitcher Brenden Schnell, junior pitcher Chris Witzke, senior shortstop Austin Zylstra and senior utility player Connor Vitzthum. Schnell, Zylstra and Vitzthum were unanimous selections. Humboldt senior rightfielder Tyler McKibban and junior infielder Brady Shelgren were chosen to the second-team while junior third baseman Devon Clark was a third-team pick. Humboldt won the league title outright with a 12-2 record and were 24-8 overall.
