HHS girls 3rd, boys 4th in EG cross country meet

The Humboldt High girls' cross country team placed third and the boys were fourth in the large school field of teams in the Eagle Grove Dick Bell Invitational on Oct. 6. The girls finished behind No. 2 ranked Gilbert and No. 8 ranked Spencer. Gabby Kent ran fourth and Isabella Luu was fifth to lead the Humboldt girls. McKennan Myott ran 11th, and Maddie Kampen 15th. Humboldt's boys were paced by Ivan Rasmussen who was 10th overall. Nick Ellis ran 19th while Denny Pedersen was 20th and Tyler Craven 21st. Jon Schaffer ran 23rd.Humboldt will return to action in their regular season finale when they compete in the North Central Conference championship on Oct. 13 at Lakeside Golf Course north of Fort Dodge.See full story, photos and coach's quotes in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
