Humboldt Council approves administrative search firm
Elizabeth Hansen, owner of Midwest Municipal Consulting of Ankeny has been hired by the Humboldt City Council to lead the search for a new city administration. Action came at the Council's meeting on Monday.

Humboldt has a search firm to aid in its recruitment of a new city administrator.
On Monday night, the Humboldt City Council voted 5-0 to hire Midwest Municipal Consulting, an Ankeny consulting and city planning agency owned and operated by Elizabeth Hansen. Earlier this year, the Council agreed to hire Hansen to conduct a strategic planning session in early December.
Hansen has over 18 years of experience in local government management. She previously served as city administrator in Elk Point, SD, Jefferson, NV, and Windsor Heights.
Earlier this year the Council approved hiring Hansen's firm to conduct a strategic planning session in early December, a task unrelated to the city administrator search.
