Humboldt girls 6th in Lynx Invitational
The Humboldt girls cross country team opened their season Tuesday night (Aug. 31) by placing sixth in the team scoring of the Webster City Lynx Invitational held at Briggs Woods Golf Course.
The Wildcats totaled 160 points and finished behind North Polk (37), Ballard Huxley (53), Fort Dodge St. Edmond (113), Roland-Story (115) and Algona (156). There were 17 teams on hand with 12 having a full lineup.
Joslyn Orr led the Wildcats individually by placing 18th in 22:15. Kinzie Peyton ran 29th in 23:01 and Grace Smith was 38th in 23:41. Kali Beaman ran 39th in 23:42. Allison Hoag was 45th in 24:08.
Humboldt will run in the Estherville-Lincoln Central Invite on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
