In recent years as the call for improved mental health services for children has grown, Life Connections Iowa is answering that call across the state and right here in north central Iowa.
Mental health services are offered in office and tele-health. Behavioral health intervention services are offered in the home, school and at a local office.
Rebecca Edwards, director of behavioral health in western Iowa, explained the wide range of mental health services offered.
“We offer cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy and narrative therapy,” Edwards said.
“Behavioral health intervention services are offered for children with severe emotional and behavioral issues. Our providers work with families to help create supportive environments at home,” Edwards said. “We offer the tools, training and support that address the behavioral needs of your children.”
