The new athletic training facility at Humboldt High School is expected to be completed by Oct. 1, according to a report by Humboldt School Superintendent Jim Murray Monday night, July 17 at the board of education meeting.
The project, originally projected to be done by Sept. 1, is now estimated to be complete by Oct. 1. Murray says installation of the building’s cooling system on July 27 will allow for the installation of the gymnasium floor. Pouring of concrete for the mezzanine level was scheduled to take place this week and sidewalks and have poured and restrooms inside are being completed.
“We anticipate getting in there on Oct. 1 if things run according to schedule,” Murray said.
He said the August school board meeting will take place in the new school administrative offices at the old Farm Bureau Insurance building along Highway 169. Murray gave an update on several other school construction projects and the board took a tour of the new facilities at the high school at the end of the meeting on July 17. Read all about it and see photos in this week's Humboldt Independent.
