FD Police seek help in finding person of interest
The Fort Dodge Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in the shooting death of Ryan R. Andrews on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, that is now being labeled a homicide.
Investigators are looking for 37‐year‐old David S. Dayton of Fort Dodge for questioning in the homicide. Mr. Dayton is described as 6 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 235 pounds, with blue eyes, and short brown hair. Mr. Dayton is currently wanted out of Pocahontas County for a parole violation on an original charge of drug abuse violation.
As part of this investigation, Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward to anyone with information as to the specific and current whereabouts of Mr. Dayton.
