Wrestlers handle Lynx, Cadets for NCC dual co-championship

Humboldt's varsity boys' wrestling team secured the North Central Conference dual co-championship by beating the Webster City Lynx and Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets on Thursday night, Jan. 11 in Webster City.

Humboldt whipped the Cadets by a 62-9 count. Humboldt beat Webster City 36-28 in the final bout of the night.

Humboldt is now 10-1 overall in duals, 6-1 in the NCC and tied with Algona for the league dual title.

The Wildcats will compete in the conference tournament at Clear Lake on Jan. 20, starting at 10 a.m. Humboldt's home dual with Eagle Grove on Jan. 18 has been canceled due to a winter weather advisory.

Humboldt is also slated to host a quad on Jan. 25. It will include West Marshall, Perry and Gilbert.
