Humboldt 4th in NCC boys golf

Cade Birdsell fired a two-round total of 77 to lead the Humboldt boys' golf team to fourth-place in the North Central Conference meet in Mason City on Monday, May 12.
Dawson Sleiter finished 14th overall with an 80. Parker Sleiter had 81, Carson Olson 84, Cyler Cirks 87 and Mack Harklau 87.
Clear Lake won the team title with 303 strokes. Webster City had a 314 with Algona third at 321 and Humboldt fourth at 322. Iowa Falls-Alden shot a 341.
The Wildcats will focus on competing in a Class 3A Sectional tournament in Spirit Lake on May 14.
