Vinny's BBQ judged 2nd best tenderloin in the state

Vinny's BBQ in Dakota City now has another distinction, being the second best Breaded Pork Tenderloin in the state, according to judging in a contest sponsored by the Iowa Pork Producers Association. Sixty-five establishments, including Vinny’s BBQ, received the required three nominations to be officially entered in the contest. Representatives from the Iowa Pork Producer’s Association in Des Moines were in Dakota City last Friday to present owners Gary “Vinny” and Tammy Vinsand with the second place plaque and a $250 cash prize. Vinny’s was edged out for the first place award by Breitbach’s County Dining in Balltown. Gary said freshly cut loins, hand breaded, pounded and seasoned are the recipe for success.
