Acts named for USO Show
The Humboldt Chapter of the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight is pleased to announce top-flight entertainment to honor our veterans and raise funds for the local Korean War-era vets, who will be traveling on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., Sept. 7, and on future flights. The program will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m., in the R. Wesley Carlson Auditorium at the Humboldt High School. There is no admission charge, but a freewill donation is appreciated to support the cause. Among the entertainers lined up for the event are the Al Welsh Orchestra, Dee Coleman and some of the members of the Cowboy Church Band, the Harmony Brigade Barbershop Chorus, several individual acts, and a special performance by the Humboldt community theatre members—the Dramatic Arts Guild.
