HHS girls tip Iowa Falls-Alden, 2-1

Humboldt's varsity girls' soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-1 victory at Iowa Falls-Alden on April 15.Humboldt opened their high school soccer season in successful fashion by blanking the CAL Cadets, 7-0 at Mason Maach Field in Humboldt Tuesday night.The Wildcats took a 4-0 lead in the first half on goals by Abby Zaugg, Marissa Foth (2) and Morgan Weydert. Humboldt expanded its lead in the second half as Maddie Thomas scored twice and Weydert added another goal.Next action for Humboldt is April 21 at Mason City. They'll host Storm Lake on April 22.
