Day Care issues discussed by supervisors
For the past two years, a group of concerned citizens and business leaders in the community have been meeting to discuss a crucial need in the county, affordable child care for working parents. “People came to me because it has gone beyond just a need for day care and become a significant workforce issue,” said Humboldt County Economic Development Director Alissa Reinholdt. Reinholdt spoke about the matter at Monday’s Humboldt County Board of Supervisors meeting. “There are not enough quality openings in the county to fill the need,” Reinholdt said.
