Renwick man sentenced to four years in prison
A Renwick man has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for being a felon illegally possessing a firearm. Daniel Reames, 49, Renwick, received the sentence on Oct. 28, after pleading guilty to the charge last Jan. 16. Information provided by the United States at the sentencing and change of plea hearings revealed that Reames has a 1995 conviction in the Iowa District Court in Humboldt County, for a felony offense, which precluded him from lawfully possessing firearms. Reames was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Sioux City by District Court Judge Mark W. Bennett.
